How to Kiss Hajr e Aswad (Black Stone) During Hajj

The importance of kissing Hajre Aswad and the significance it has for a Muslim are evident from the previous post, which showed the references from Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) the importance of the stone. Thus, out of respect and to fulfill the tradition of Hajre Aswad Muslims kiss the stone whenever they are doing Tawaf e  Kaaba.

Hajr-e-Aswad-Kissing-Guide copy

Pertaining to the kissing of Hajre Aswad, it is done during Tawaf in the days of Hajj. Without any doubt Hajj is one of the greatest congregations on the surface of this planet, therefore, kissing the Black Stone is not an easy thing to do when millions of others are also striving towards it. In this regard, those who are able to kiss the stone in person can do so, whereas those who are not able to go close to the stone because of all the crowd and hustle can raise their hand and point towards it which represents the same reverence as would a kiss do. Therefore, kissing the stone is not mandatory; rather it can be done by waving towards the stone as well.

Although there is an option of kissing the stone from a distance, however, there are ardent lovers of the stone who want to kiss the stone in the traditional way so that they are able to fulfill the tradition of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). For such people, there is a systematic way by following which they can increase their chances of kissing the stone. The following lines shall discuss few steps that can help in increasing the probability of kissing Hajre Aswad during Tawaf.

The first step is of getting into the line of people who are along with the line of Kabah. The best way to start it is by getting into the line at Yemini corner.

The second step is of sticking with the wall of Kabah. In doing so you need to make sure that one hand of yours should be constantly touching the Kabah wall so that you aren’t dragged away into the crowed. In addition, the second thing to do is to make sure the hand of yours that is towards the crowd is in a laid down position, so that you don’t push someone unintentionally when the hustle grows.

The third step in progression towards the Hajre Aswad is not to break the flow and move forward within the current. The line moves forward inch by inch, therefore, any trying of overtaking the other person or changing the line and then moving ahead will all be in vain. Therefore, the best ploy is to go with the current and not break it.

When you start getting near to the mob, now would be the best time to start reciting your Adhkars as when you grow nearer the pressure of the crowd increases and in such situation, it is quite natural that you might get impatient and forget your adhkar. Therefore, start reciting them when you are in line.

When you will be reaching close to the corner, where perpendicular current will also be trying to push you, at that point, you need not to panic; rather you must use the force from opposite direction to your advantage, as all it will be doing is pushing you closer to the stone. Therefore, instead of fighting the current, maneuver to your benefit and move closer to the mob.

If at some point you feel that you cannot handle the pressure of the crowd, then instead of panicing and removing your hand from the wall of Kabah, you must find the rings that are there instilled in the wall. These rings will help you maintain your center of gravity.

When you get within feet or inches of the Stone, start reciting the duas you can remember and ask refuge and help from Allah Almighty. When you are near the stone and everyone is pushing, it can turn out to be a state of frenzy and you might push someone. Therefore, ask Allah Almighty to give you patience and courage to reach the stone with ease.

Once you have reached the stone, then instead of losing your senses at the sight of the stone and sticking there for long, the wise thing to do is to just kiss it and move on quickly. If you stay there even for a second longer, then chances are that the incoming crowd would push you and you may fall, which is a risk you should never take in such a crowded place. Therefore, kiss the stone and move on quickly without giving a chance to others to push you.

Remember, while kissing the holy black stone is gives an immense feeling of being blessed by Almighty, it also requires you to follow a systematic approach to help your kissing cause come true peacefully. For that, you are suggested to keep these guiding steps in your mind that will ultimately help you towards kissing of stone.

  2. Salat / Prayers – It is obligatory for every Muslim to offer his prayers five times a day on particular times. On the day of resurrection, the foremost question will be asked about the prayers. Therefore, to pass out the accountability process successfully, everyone must offer the prayers with humble gratitude to Allah.
  3. Zakat – Charity rewards and the easiest way to be the beneficiary is to give Zakat and Sadaqa. In order to purify your savings and assets, it is mandatory (only who are eligible) to give Zakat to the poor and needy. This does not only purifies your possessions and trade, but also creates a level of peace and ultimate satisfaction deep down inside the heart.
  4. Fasting – Fasting in the month of Ramadan is another act of worship, which is being made obligatory for all Muslims.  This month is considered among the most holy months which Allah (SWT) has blessed Muslims to seek His nearness and forgiveness.
  5. Hajj / Pilgrimage – Kaabah, the Holy Home of The Lord, is the place where every able body is encouraged to visit during the month of Dul-Hajj and perform the Hajj. Hajj is a special Ibadaat and an expression of loyalty to Allah. How to Convert to Islam for Becoming a Muslim

How to Convert to Islam for Becoming a Muslim

Islam is one of the fastest growing religions of the world. Every day in some part of the world there are people converting to Islam. The number of Muslim converts is increasing with a greater pace in the West because of the increasing awareness among people about Islam. Therefore, all those who have done their research on Islam and want to enter it look for the right way in converting to Islam.

Becoming a Muslim

The people who wish to convert to Islam need proper guidance because it is a life changing process and there are a certain set of rituals or activities that need to be performed in order to enter into the circle of Islam and proclaim to be one of its followers. Before moving on to the way a person should convert to Islam, a soon to become Muslim should have an understanding of the essence of Islam. The lines below firstly discuss the importance of Islam for a Muslim and secondly the way a person should convert to Islam.

Islam As a Religion:

There must be some truth to Islam that is why a huge number of people all over the world is converting to Islam. In Quran, Allah Almighty has time and again mentioned the importance of Islam by focusing on its tenants. Allah says in Quran:

Worship Allah

In order to read Quran in Arabic, Muslim Converts can avail services of Quran Tutor now to improve Quran reading skills.

Translation – “We did not send before you (O Muhammad) any messenger but We revealed to him: ‘none has the right to be worshipped except I, therefore worship Me.” (21:25)

From this ayah it is clear that whoever enters the circle of Islam, he or she knows one thing for sure and that is the fact that there is no one worthy of worship other than Allah Almighty. Therefore, every entrant in Islam knows that he or she is to worship Allah Almighty only.

At another place in Quran, Allah Almighty says:

Islam as Religion

Translation – “Whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers.” (3:85)

This ayah is a clear vindication to the fact that those who do not accept Islam or stay on some other religion other than Islam, none of their excuses will be accepted in the Hereafter when they gather in front of Allah Almighty. At that time people other than Muslims would be in the loser category and would have no hope for a better life in the Hereafter.

For a person who wants to seek truth, who wants a better life in this world and a better life hereafter, the best option is to convert to Islam. This conversion needs to be done in a specific way the detail of which is discussed in the following lines.

Converting To Islam:

The conversion to Islam is a simple process, where there are a few things, which a convert has to proclaim from tongue, and others, which do not require proclamation, but they need to be believed in the heart.

The first thing a person needs to proclaim pertaining to conversion to Islam is called ‘Shahada’. In this activity a Muslim has to say the following:

Verse for Accepting Islam as Religion

Transliteration: “La ilaha illa Allah, Muhammad rasoolu Allah.”
Translation: “There is no god but Allah and Muhammad (PBUH) is the Messenger of God.”

This proclamation of Shahada is what officially enters a person into the circle of Islam. If the words of Shahada be analyzed, it can be divided into two parts. The first part is related toproclaiming that Allah Almighty is the only God. Believing in Allah along with other gods does not qualify for Shahada and hence no one can enter Islam with this belief. Therefore, when proclaiming Shahada a convert must remember that he or she is denying the existence of all the other gods that other people believe to be present and only Allah should be regarded as the God.

The second part of the Shahada is the acceptance and acknowledgment of the Prophecy of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). A convert cannot become a Muslim and his or her proclamation is not complete if he or she does not believe in Muhammad (PBUH) being the Prophet of Allah, regardless of whether the convert believes in Allah. Therefore, the believe in Allah has to be complemented with the believe in Prophecy of Muhammad (PBUH) in order to complete Shahada and convert to Islam.

Besides the verbal proclamation of Shahada, there are different elements in which a Muslim has to believe in the heart, meaning that they do not require proclamation. These elements of belief are as follows:

  1. Believe in Allah – Believing in Allah Almighty. Although it is a part of Shahada as well, however, it does not mean that one needs to say it from tongue only and there is no need to believe in the heart, rather this should be acknowledged at both the places.
  2. Believe in Angels – Believing in the angels as the creation of Allah Almighty who are servants to Him and carryout His orders.
  3. Believe in the Divine Books – Believing in the Books that Allah Almighty has sent down for the guidance of humankind. A Muslim is naturally to believe in Quran as a book of guidance, however, he or she is also to believe in the other Books that Allah Almighty sent upon other Prophets for the guidance of their respective nations.
  4. Believe in the Prophets – Believing in all the Prophets that Allah sent down to preach the message of truth. A Muslim is to believe in the Prophecy of Muhammad (PBUH), however, like Books, he or she must also believe in the other Prophets that were sent in earlier times for guidance of mankind.
  5. Believe on the Judgment Day – Believing in the life Hereafter is another element of Muslim faith. A Muslim must believe that a after this life there is another life where all will be held accountable for the deeds they committed in this world and should be given an eternal reward.
  6. Believe in Fate – Believing in fate is another element of Muslim faith. In Muslim faith there is good and bad fate and both are from Allah, therefore, one must also accept the role of fate in life in order to convert to Islam.
  7. Believe in Life After Death – The last thing that a person must believe in heart in order to convert to Islam is in the rising up after death. A convert must believe that after this life he or she will rise again and that will be the eternal life.

In a nutshell, converting to Islam is one of the greatest blessings of Allah Almighty. When converting to Islam a person must proclaim by saying the words of Shahada out loud and in his or her heart they must believe in the other major elements of Islamic belief to get closer to Allah Almighty and be officially called a ‘Muslim’.

Basic Islamic Teaching  |The Concept Of Belief (Iman)

several Muslim may anticipate that some one becomes a Muslim when he confesses belief in the Oneness of the Sincere Allah and in Muhammad as His last Prophrt(P.B.U.H) But this is too away the absolute meaning of Emaan(faith). The believe in Allah and His Prophet(P.B.U.H) Is not mean by something specified or plain formality. Belief in Islam is a dos of felicity acquired by goodness of affirmatory activity and formative conceptions The Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) said in one of his speeches: “O People Certainly a servant instrument not be counted as one of the Moslims until remaining poeple are secure from his hand and his ; and he will never achieve the goal of a Good Muslim until his brother (in belief) is secure from his bad actions and anger, and his near one is safe and secure from his stricness and angriness; and he leave never drive the platform of state one with Taqwa (Allah conscious) until he keeps away from those bad or wrong actions which make him to spiritually dirty himself. Certainly the mortal who

Thusly, being a Muslim staleness be invulnerable from both the physical (not only by hand even his authority) of other brother and sister (in faith) as well as his words of mouth.

The Pillars of Faith

1:Belief in Allah as the one and exclusive Lord

Allah is the figure Muslims use for the dominant and single Creator, who created and rules everything.
The sipirit of belief for all Muslims is obeisance to Allah’s module.
Allah is everlasting, omniscient, and powerful…
Allah has e’er existed and will always immortal.
Allah knows everything that can be illustrious.
God can do anything that can be done.
Allah has no make or contour…
Allah begets not nor is he begotten
Allah is neither manly nor feminine.
God is rightful…
God rewards and punishes fairly.
But Allah is also soft.(Rahim)
A truster can meet Allah by praying, and by reciting the Qur’an.
Muslims only bow before Allah…
because only Allah is meriting of love.
The one and only Lord
All Muslims believe that God is one uncomparable:
There is only one Lord.
Allah has no children, no parents, and no partners.
Allah was not created by a being.
There are no modify, tiptop, or lesser Gods.

2:Belief in angels

what are told that these almost innumerable beingd who are extremely powerful are created in such a way that they always obey and never go agaisnt devine command, and continously serve and never tire of serving the Lord.
{Anbia,xxi 19-20, Tahrim,Lxv1:6}

3: Belief in the sacred books

A Muslim believe that Quran is a word of Allah.But it is not the only word.Allah sent many Prophets before Muhammad(P.BU.H) and He spokre to him.So a Muslim also believes(infact he would be not Muslim if he did not believe) in these earlier books, like the Torah and the Gospel, since the true believers are those who “believe in what has been sent down to thee (Muhammad)(P.B.U.H) and what has been sent down before thee” {Al Bakra,iv:4}

4: Belief in the All messengers of Allah (Prophets)…

Messenger are human being chosen by Allah who have conveyaing Allah’s message to other men and women. Being such a messenger is not a position that one attain by any concsiously designed effor. It is grace from Allah, but Allah grants this grace to those who are deserving of it. Msessengers are not then, like the rank and file of us. true, they are men but they are men of an extremely high moral, spirtual and intellectual standard that qualifies them-in the eyes of Allah. He supports the messenger with a clear ‘sign’that the proves the truth of his claim, and distinguishes him from false prophet, sorcerers and soothsayers none of them betrays the message or falls short being. Asked about Prophet Muahammad(P.B.U.H.) conduct his holy wife Ayesha(R.A) Said.”it was the Qur’an, meaning that he embodied all the ideals which the Qur’an

5: The Hereafter

If it is Allah who created man in the first place, why should be impossible for him to create hin when he dies?
Resurrection should be easier than originsl creation. “He it is He Who originates creation, then bring it back again and his (the later) is easier for him.” If you think about it carefully, you give move to see that the transfer of existence to the dead is so normal for huaman being, a thinking person does not to see a person coming to life is sufficiency to see other dead bodies reaching to spiritedness.

6: Qadar(Fate)

The original meaning of word Qadaris specified measure or amount whether of quantities or qualities. It has many other usage which branch out from this core. Thus yuqad-dir implementation, among another things, to abstraction or settle the abstraction,stance,etc..of something before you actually achieve it and it and it is this latter sense which interests us here. ;Allah is the creator of everything, but wheter He creates,He creates with Qadar.” [Qamar, LIV:49]

The Pillars of Islam

“There is no Allah but Allah, and Muhammad is his Messenger.”
This is the fundamental statement of the Islamic belief: anyone who cannot accepted this wholeheartedly is not a Believer(Muslim).
When a Moslem recites this they declare:

That they individuallay accept this is absolutely true
That they leave obey all the commitments of Religion in their period.

This emotion is the natural creation of the fact that when Muslim Fast they believe that they are firmly connect with their Lord as well who Muslim society in perceptive the similar duty, in the similar manner, at the same time, for the synoptic motives, and for the same end.
